Thankful

This Thanksgiving I am so thankful! I love Thanksgiving and I consider every Thanksgiving a time to be special and I love having that time to reflect on my life and all the wonderful blessings I have received. But this year is a Thanksgiving where I feel as though my knees need to hit the floor to praise The Lord for my families blessings. Lucas Lee is a huge blessing- my little hero- he is the definition of Love. Justin and I both feel tremendously thankful for the past 6 months and how much our life has been impacted by our little boy! I can sit here and list every single thing I am thankful for when it comes to Luke...but the list would be forever long! So, I am going to list the 5 things that Justin and I decided we could NOT go a day without!
1) Luke's Smile & Laugh!
2) The way Lucas hugs us when we pick him up!
3) The sound of Luke's voice when he is talking to us!
4) How cute Luke is in his jumpy...he makes us laugh so much when he is jumping!
5) Bathtime & Prayer Time with our babyboy!

Lucas went with his Nana & Aunt KT yesterday and spent the night in New Mexico. Justin and I are going tonight to spend the night and have Thanksgiving there tomorrow. Although Luke has stayed away from us before- it is usually on the weekend. Having him gone during the week just through our whole evening routine off. Our house seems so empty without our baby in it. It is funny how me and Justin have lived together for almost 6 years now, and yet in 6 months Luke has changed everything about us and our home lol! It feels empty without him on the floor with all of his toys- or hearing him laugh and talk all night- or giving him his bath at 8pm and then doing our family reading time and prayer.
But...last night I got some very much needed rest and relaxation. Justin and I went and ate dinner and then came home and watched the Biggest Looser and then worked out really hard. Then I got the best gift haha! I was in the steaming hot bath relaxing and Justin came in with a glass of wine! Just what I needed to end the night! It was a good night and I love having quality time with Justin. But I still miss my lil boy sooooo much. And he never leaves my mind for a second when he is away.
We are leaving in about 2 hours to go see our baby...and I am counting down the minutes! I cannot wait to pick Luke up and hold him and give him a kiss and see his smile!

Lukes First Wedding

Lucas attended his first wedding last weekend! He was so cute all dressed up! I was a bridesmaid in my best friend Bree's wedding and we had a blast! But I was so infatuated with seeing my son...that was all i could concentrate on before the wedding! As we got into position to walk out...i saw him! He was fussy lol...so Justin was taking him out into the reception area! Luckily where they got married at had a huge window that looked right into the wedding hall so they were able to watch the whole wedding and I was able to see them through the window! So many of my friends from DFW hadnt met Luke yet so it was awesome for them all to meet him! And Luke had a cute lil friend Cruz there too! It is very rare that i get to see him interact with another baby, and it was so precious to watch them stare at eachother and play! I loved it! Posted are pictures from the wedding and Luke before bed time!

6 Months

Wow! So much has been going on and I have been awful about posting it! Sorry to my family that keeps udated with our blog! I am going to get better--I promise!

Sooo...our little baby is 6 months old!!! He is at a REALLY fun age right now! I cannot believe how fast things are going...but I am loving his age right now! He is so much fun and life is full of laughter in the White House right now because of Lucas Lee! He is rolling and scooting all over the floor! He has getting up on his hands and knees and rocking a lot...so we are waiting for that first big crawl soon! He is talking about all kinds of things all day long! He is smiling and belly laughing a whole bunch right now!!! Lucas loves to be awake and playing with his toys on the floor...he is so alert and interactive...its a fun time right now! We did the 6 month check up yesterday at the doctor and he was 17 lbs 13 oz and 27 inches! He is developmentally on target with everything! YAY- Praise the Lord! I had to hold him because he kept wanting to roll over and chew on the paper on the table lol! =) He didn't do as well with his shots as he had done previously. He cried a bit more than normal and ran a temperature all night. But momma&daddy were there for lots of hugs and kisses all day. On Luke's 6 month birthday we were in Dallas so we went to the zoo with Nanny&Poppi! Lucas loved the monkeys and the giraffes the most!
