Mommy Loves...

Sometimes, I wonder, how can it be possible for my baby to be turning 4?!

He is in such a fun, busy and silly stage right now.  Luke has always been a goof ball but lately he has been entertaining to watch transform from a toddler into a little boy.

Luke, here is just a little list of my endless loves:
-- I love the way  you tell me and daddy, " I love you to the sun, moon, spaceship, stars, moon and all the way back"
-- I love the way you crawl into our bed at 4am every morning.  It's like our our personal alarm clock.  I love how cuddly you are and wrap up into my arm/chest and fall right back to sleep.  I lay awake for awhile and listen to you breathe.  I pray over you and I feel complete peace.  Then I kiss your forehead and back to dreams I go...
-- I love your "pretend" list you come up with at the grocery store.  Always including: popsicles, dino chicken nuggest, cheetos...
-- I love how the very rare times you get into trouble you always say, "but I said I love YOU!" It doesn't get you out of time out but it does make my heart laugh.
-- I love how when I hold you, you play with my hair and rub my arms. I will NEVER get tired of that!
--I love how you get so sad if the dream fairy doesn't visit you at night...
-- I love how nothing can put a smile on your face like chocolate milk. :)
-- I love how genuinely sweet and loving you are.  Everyone's your friend, everything is so beautiful in your eyes.  I pray it stays that way always~

All my love babyboy,
Mommy

Name..

We are so proud of our boy for learning how to write his name. He keeps telling us, "the K is hard". But, I think he is doing great!!! I love seeing how proud he is of himself. I am always proud of him, but I really love it when I can see him be proud of his own self as well. I want him to be confident in himself...to see himself the way Justin and I do. Yay, LUKE!

Easter...

Our Easter celebration this year was a bit different than normal. I think this was the first time since Luke was born we didnt attend church for Easter. Our flight from Florida landed Saturday afternoon. Luke pretty much slept the rest of saturday and through sunday morning. Traveling and a 6 hour flight wore our little guy out. We didnt push him to wake up for church. Luke is not the kind of child you EVER want to wake up when he is sleeping. It takes him a good 30 minutes to fully wake up and he does not appreciate it and his attitude will show it lol. So, we let him relax and lay around. We read him the "Is Easter about Chocolate Bunnies" book. It has a great message with lots of fun pop ups. It does have a fun way of showing the message is about Jesus and His death for our life. We decorated some Easter Eggs and he went through his Easter goodies. Around 11, we met 2 of Lukes very best friends at the park for a mini egg hunt. Then we had lunch at Casa Ole. Luke and Tony love the "green" sauce. I am not even sure what it is entirely but I know Luke will eat it like he has never eaten a day in his life. lol.

Sunday was also a very special day for my family! It was my dads birthday! I wish we lived closer to Dallas so I could spend special days with him. We are going later in April and we are going to celebrate his birthday at the Rangers game! Luke sent him a card and my dad loved the fact that Luke spelled his name. I will post a pic of his name later! I am proud of him for learning and I love how proud he is of himself! My dad is truly the hardest working man. I can not even explain how hard working he is. He is an amazing man that has the respect of love of everyone in our family. He's the best person to ask for advice, he loves his family and will do anything for us. Mentally and physically, he is one of the strongest men I have ever met. I love him eternally and everything he has done for our family. As a poppi, he is so fun to watch with Luke. He loves to wrestle with Luke or put him up in his lap and give him a ride on the riding lawn mower. My dad is a landscape designer so he and Luke spend lots of time working and planting flowers and trees, etc. Happy Birthday Dad!

Pool Time!

These pics mostly speak for themselves. We spent Sunday and Tuesday just hanging poolside. The World Marriott Resort is a hotel I would recommend to anyone. Everything was great, the pool, activities, food, service, etc. The water was so warm in the evenings it was nice that Justin was able to come home from his conference and get some swim time from his little mini me. Oh and the pineapple-coladas were ah-mazing!

Tamara's best friend, Carly, came to visit for a couple of days! She lives in Florida and Tamara met her when she worked at Florida State. Carly played softball and they hit it off immediately. Carly is family to us. She has been on a couple of vacations with our family to Mexico. She spends holidays with us and is a prayer warrior for my sister. She brought her nephew Grayson down also. He and Luke are the same age so Luke loved having a playmate!

Sea World

This past week, we took a family vacation to Orlando, Florida! It was a blast! As you can imagine, I have over 500 pictures from the trip, so I decided to break our blog up with pics from each event. Justin had a work conference for half of the week in Orlando, so we decided to turn it into a vacation. Good decision! I was so happy my sister flew down and spent the week with us also, especially since Justin was working a lot those first few days. Monday, Tamara and I , took Luke to Sea World. We had a great time!
Luke's most favorite attraction was the dolphins, no doubt. We spent most of the day watching the dolphin nursery, going to the underwater dolphin spot, watching dolphins shows, etc. Luke kept saying, " aww look how cute they are!" He was fascinated!
Thankfully for Luke, his Aunt T is a risk taker. His momma is not. I am scared of heights, roller coasters, etc. Tamara on the other hand, is scared of nothing like Luke. So, I happily accepted the role of taking their pics while they dared to ride all of the fun roller coasters Luke was tall enough to ride.

Me and Tamara have always loved the whale shows. My mom used to take us a lot when we were little girls to the San Antonio Sea World. I can still remember being splashed by Shamu's tail and taking pictures of that event. So, it was really cool to watch Luke experience that as well. We could not leave the park without his own Shamu (or Shampoo to him lol) stuffed animal. He has slept with it every night since.
