New Couches!

Justin took me on a "surprise" drive yesterday! He told me I had 1 more Valentines Day present! And so we went to Furniture Row and I got to pick out NEW COUCHES! YAYAYAY! Our current ones, we have had for a while&they are green lol. They are so comfy, but way outdated! Justin&I were more concentrated on buying our 1st home and completely redoing the entire house- paint, tile, etc...that we kind of just overlooked getting new couches. And then Luke came, so new couches were put off again. Finally, the time has come and we got new couches! Only bad thing....they wont be in for 5 weeks =(. But I stole this picture of them off their website! I cant wait for 5 weeks! New couch, new love seat & new chair =)! I am so happy!!!!!

Valentines Day Part 2

Lukes Nana&Papa (Justins parents) also sent Lucas a cute Toy story lunch pale that was filled with goodies! And they sent Justin&I a bag of Carrie (Nana/mother in law) homemade beef jerky! It is sooo good&hot...our favorite!

My champagne&Chocolate! (Please ignore the "i just woke up" face...gotta love those early morning pics lol) & yes, Luke is holding a bucket in front of my face lol...

Valentines Day Love

Valentines Day this year was spent showering Lucas Lee with love!

We hosted a Valentines Day party for Luke & our friends & their children on Friday! Me&my momma friends got our kids together for some yummy valentines day treats and crafts! The kids were making their own Valentines Day cards!

We just love every single one of these sweet kids! And I absolutely love their mommas too! They have all become regulars in our house, at birthday parties, playdates at the park, etc! Justin and I feel blessed to have them in our lives!

These were Lukes valentines day cards, candy&gifts from his friends! I love it!

Our Valentines Day present from my parents! They had an Edible arrangement fruit bouquet sent to the house. It was delicous. And a box of apples&oranges for Lucas w/a teddy bear!

I made my boys heart shaped pancakes for breakfast on valentines day! Cheesy, I know, but I love doing silly stuff for them! =)

Luke only gets candy when he potties on the big boy potty! So he was very excited to get M&M's just because lol!

My special valentines for my boys! I love celebrating holidays with Justin and Luke! I like to spoil them and make them smile =)
**Justin bought me a bottle of champagne and a vacuum cleaner lol! (I needed a new vacuum cleaner so i didnt mind the gift! Plus Justin picked out a red one- so he said it was in true valentine style. Ha!) Luke picked me out some chocolates YUM! I have never ever in my life had one of those huge heart shaped boxed filled with assorted chocolates. I was so excited to finally get one ;)

Before I was a mom...

---I got this poem off of an old high school friends blog page...I loved it& wanted to pass it on!

--> Before I was a mom,I never tripped over toysor forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or notmy plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a mom,I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mindand my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a mom,I never held down a screaming childso doctor's could do testsor give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at nightwatching a baby sleep.

Before I was a mom,I never held a sleeping baby just becauseI didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieceswhen I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so smallcould affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a mom,I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feelto feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bondbetween a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so smallcould make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a mom,I had never gotten up in the middle of the nightevery 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy,the love, the heartache, the wonderment,or the satisfaction of being a mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a mom

Weekend Update...

Our weekends have been so busy lately- it is starting to stress me out AHH. I just want to lay around the house, in my pj's, watching movies one weekend soon.
This weekend we worked out cleaning out more space in the closets. We looked around at cars again. We just havent found that "one" yet. Part of it is Justin&I disagree on which car lol. I really want an Acadia or a Sequoia- Justin really wants a Ford Flex. I am not too worried about it because i know we will find it eventually. (Or Justin will give in lol) We have also been working on adoption paperwork. We still have even more to still print off and fill out. But, on a awesome note!- there are representatives from adoption covenant in Haiti right now! AWESOME! On saturday, I spent 2 hours of my day running&training for my half-marathon. Then a little grocery shopping & that took my entire saturday. Ughh why cant there be more hours in the weekend???
But I did have time for some sweet kisses from my Lucas Lee!

Justin & I love the "dollar spot" at Target lol! We always buy Luke stickers&&books and stuff just for fun! Justin saw these in the Target dollar spot& of course had to get 2 of them. They sword fought the whole time I was shopping in Target-( I swear I am raising 2 lil boys lol). Luke lovessss these styrofoam swords. He likes to "sneak" attack me and Jeter. Our poor dog =(...
Sunday we spent the day deep cleaning the house, doing laundry, etc. Then off to our friends the Martins house for the Superbowl! Clint cooked some delicious barbq chicken!& cheesy potatoes! Our other friend- Terra made some dips, queso, and a cake! YUM! And we brought some cookies that were Saints/Colts decorated! We havent had much time lately to go visit the Martin family so it was good to hang out! They have twin girls who are Lukes age so they played&Justin and I enjoyed some adult time lol!

When I got into bed last night I was so overwhelmed w/stress. It all hit me at once that we are making some huge changes in our life. Adoption-mentoring abused children- buying a new car- looking for a new house on some land- training for a half-marathon. I couldnt sleep at all last night I had so many things running through my mind. It is all going to be okay- and I do know that. I am so happy to be living my life & reaching my goals in life. It feels good to be in full control of my future & have an amazing husband&son to share it with!

Sleepover!

Luke had his first sleepover last night! Our good friend, Misty, had to travel to Houston for business so we gladly let Kelton Cash spend the night w/us. I made the boys tacos&guacamole and they played and played and played! Both were wore out and sound asleep by 9pm and didnt wake until 8am this morning lol! It was fun.

Cute baby boys in their Pajamas!

Luke playing w/some detangler of Keltons lol.

**It was a good experience to have 2 kids in the house. Its def double duty on diaper changing-potty training& feeding. But they had fun playing. We watched American Idol and the boys would get up and dance and clap...definitely feeding off eachother at who can be more silly.

Dennis the Menace

Luke is definitely going through a "Dennis the Menace" hair stage. He always has the same pieces standing straight up. I have to admit, sometimes before church, I put a little "product" in it to lay it down lol! Any other time, I let it fly because it fits his personality so well!
- On a side note...i do believe Luke could be the next Tech Linebacker! HA! He is really filling out now...I love it!!!!! I am pretty sure no one would ever know he had stomach surgery as a child because his was closed off and he was starving. At 2 months old he was still wearing premie clothes and was only 7 lbs. So I am veryyyyyy proud of this chunky monkey!
