Noise?
There are always those cute sayings your child does, that every parent thinks is just so cute. Luke has started a new phrase, "what's that makin' noise?" It is the cutest thing. He sounds so country when he says it lol. Anytime he hears a noise he hasn't heard before, or hears at a random time, his eyes light up and he says, "what's that makin' noise".
I love how much Luke loves to learn. He loves playing memory now, and he is good. He is growing so much, so fast. He can count to 30 now. He still loves puzzles. He will play soccer outside for hours. Even when momma&dadda are tired&drenched in sweat, he still keeps going. He absolutely lovesss baseball. He likes to stand in the living room floor and catch our tosses over and over again.
I am so proud of everything Luke does. I am so blessed to be his mom!

Mommies&Daddies have milestones too...
Justin&I have officially passed a huge milestone--we left Luke with a babysitter!
Don't get me wrong, we have been blessed to have date nights since being parents, but Luke has always only been with family. We have had a lot of opportunities to have sitters, but every time it came down to it, I would start sweating and get really nervous&anxious. I could never go through with it. This past Friday, Justin surprised me with tickets to Josh Abbott. It was raining and any chance of Luke spending the night with Nana were flooded out. So, we reached our milestone and Luke went to a baby sitters. We were so nervous. Justin&I talked ourselves into&out of the whole drive there. Our friend, Adrianna watched Luke. She was my assistant teacher when I taught Pre-K. She has a degree in Early childhood. Her daugher, Mia, and Luke are playdate buddies as well. So, we made our decision and we went to the concert! Luke was safe- all in 1 piece- and sound asleep when we picked him up after the concert. Adrianna said he did great and was very well behaved! He played with Mia, ate some popcorn, drank some milk & passed out on her bean bag chair lol! Adrianna was so sweet to send us pictures all night of Luke too so we were up to date on him.

This was us after the concert lol. Yes, we are pretty much stripped down naked. Story behind this...Lubbock has been raining non-stop for 4 days. On Friday night, apparently it poured out crazy during the concert. When we walked out- the water was knee deep. We rain in the rain through the parking lot to my BRAND NEW CAR. There was NO WAY we were about to sit in drenched clothes on my new seats lol. So...clothes got thrown in the trunk-wrapped up- and we drove home in our panties&boxers lol. We got home, changed & drove 2 blocks down the street to pick Luke up from the sitters! It was a fun date night...a night to remember ;)
We were getting a little silly. There was cars stuck in the water&mud and we just sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes for the cops&big trucks to pull out all the cars that were flooding out. We acted like silly lil college kids...like the ol' days! It was a blast =)

On my heart
Isaiah 54:10--" The mountains may disappear, and the hills may come to an end, but my love will never disappear; my promise of peace will not come to an end."
