Easier?...I think NOT
So...Justin and I have made some HUGE decisions in our life. We have decided to put adoption on hold. We have been through the run-around and we are not giving up long term. But, we have decided to expand our family!!! Yes, we are trying for baby White #2. Which leads me to my thoughts today.
Everyone has told me getting pregnant the 2nd time around was so much easier. NOT. With our 1st pregnancy- we tried for 3 weeks & we got pregnant right away. Although, we miscarried (rip baby) it was not hard for us to get pregnant. With Luke, we tried for 1 month and we were pregnant. Now....we have been trying for 3 months? And still not pregnant. Not so much easier for us =(. We keep praying for God's will and His plan. To all my blogging mommas-- what was ya'lls experience? Was it more difficult?

Father's Day
Father's Day was a simple, relaxing day with our little family. We played outside, swam, napped, watched movies, ate hamburgers & just enjoyed being together. Justin is a wonderful daddy. He has always been awesome- from day 1. He changes diapers, gives baths, reads stories, wrestles, tickles, colors, paints, laughs, gives lots of kisses and hugs. But, more than anything, he is so patient and loving. Luke&J have a bond that can never be broken. They are best buds, father&son. Luke loves playing in the garage working on Justin's show truck. They will spend hours outside working in the yard&garden. I could not ask for a better man! But, the most important thing Justin does, is Loves Lukes momma ;)
My Dad--is awesome. 1 of my heros in life. He is the hardest worker you will ever find& very successful because of his hard work. I love him more than words can ever say. We didn't get to make our trip to Dallas- but my dad was traveling on the road. My dad is 1 of a kind & I am so blessed&rich in the lessons he has taught me.
Fathers Day is a really special day. I have always loved Fathers Day...there is something about putting all the attention on the leader of the family- the man of the house. Ironic, bc most men do not like all the attention on them. They are hard workers and they definitely deserve a day to themselves- to be appreciated. I feel so lucky to have 2 of the greatest men as my role models. I love my husband&dad so much~

Leukemia&Lymphoma Benefit
This past weekend was a really special and very inspirational weekend. I flew into Dallas for a quick overnight visit. My sister was the "honored hero" at a fundraising event to support blood cancer. I got to help volunteer at the event and raise money for research for blood cancer. It was a very special night that I will never ever forget.
1 of my sisters very best friends- KoJo. He was amazing...awesome at raising money! He kept me laughing all night!
My sister giving her "story." It was very emotional and funny. Tamara has a way of speaking and captivating her audience. She is amazing...I could feel God in the room with us as she spoke. She will forever be a hero in my heart.
My gorgeous mom-me-sister&KoJo enjoying the night!
If you ever have the opportunity to attend a charity benefit- you should go! I learned so much and met so many wonderful people from all different walks in life. I walked away learning a very important lesson that is etched in my mind forever. "Smile at everybody-because you never know how much that smile will mean to someone."
**On a side note--the benefit was held at Design Within Reach in North Dallas. They have awesome designs...very contemporary and fashionable. We got to know the store owner throughout the night--he was so kind and funny!

White family picture day
This past weekend, we had family pictures done with Justin's side of the family--The Whites!
It was a scorching 104' in New Mexico--we spent our in between shots downing water and dabbing sweat make-up stains. But, the pictures came out so good! We loved them! They were a gift from the kids to my mother-in-law Carrie!

Mommy~Friends
Even though this blog is for Luke, I have to stop and give a shout out to my 2 best mommy friends in Lubbock--Hilary & Laura Lee! In the picture above, our 3 loves are playing together! They are the best of friends. They are together a lot and are very protective & loving of one another. Gracie & Ava are the girliest girls I have ever met! And Luke, is a boy's boy for sure! Yet, all their personalities blend sooo good together! Its awesome, our kids play, and us girls talk, laugh, read magazines, share books, stress out together, have anxiety together, and talk about our sweet childrens future...ohhh & our men lol. I love them so much.
Laura Lee is in the white shirt! She is the firecracker of us 3! Hilary is in the blue shirt and she is the loving mommy of us, and me , of course, I am the random silly one! It works for us, the same way it does for our kids! Don't worry folks, I have not lost my mind with my make up lol. We put the kids to bed and then had a little 80's pageant. Spur of the moment as always haha! But, its nice that we all live right by eachother. We get to do silly summer nights things all the time lol...and our sweet men watch our babies while they sleep away~
Memorial Day Picnic! Our kids swam- we drank margaritas and watched the guys grill! What more could you ask for?!?! ;)
It has been really hard for me to be so far away from all my best friends&family in Dallas. I am a city girl...I miss the city. But, God stepped in, and heard my prayers. He gave me 2 of the bestest mommy-friends I could ever ask for! Hilary&Laura Lee & I have actually been friends since I first came to Lubbock and Texas Tech 9 years ago. But time and moving seperated us. Then, Hilary&Laura Lee moved back to Lubbock and we have all 3 been together every since!
A friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love and encourages you with hope!

Lately...
I think we skipped straight from winter to summer. Not much of a "spring" season at all. It has been HOT HOT HOT outside. Luke has been loving it! Our day mostly consists of, swimming and hanging out with friends in the water!
He LOVES his Toy Story Slip N' Slide!
~ Other than soakin' up some sunshine, Luke has been doing::
-Asking, "Why it do that"?? (only 100 x's a day lol)
-Moved on from poptarts to Lucky Charms
-Counts to 20 (but leaves out 12 &13)
-Playing w/balloons! He has a new obsession with balloons and I have recently began making weekly trips to the dollar tree to buy him a couple of balloons for the week. And their cheap balloons last 3-4 days each one. Awesome!
- Is down to 1 accident a day...doing awesome with "big boy undies" even when he is outside! Still naps&sleeps in a diaper tho.
- Watching himself dance in the mirror and laughing!
~ Life has been going full speed! We are about to embark on the 3 busiest months of our year. We will practically be living on the road =( but its going to be fun nonetheless!
In June--we have family pictures with Justins side of family in NM the first weekend of June. Then Justins a groomsmen in his cousins wedding in NM the following weekend. The next week/weekend we will be in Dallas. We are taking Luke to Hurrican Harbor&6 Flags and spending some time with my family. The last weekend of June we are going to Ruidoso with some friends to camp&hike. Bring on the craziness!
